FAQS
Getting Here & Travel Info
By Train
Canterbury has two train stations: Canterbury East and Canterbury West, both with direct connections to Kent’s surrounding towns and London. St Lawrence Ground, Canterbury is around a 10 – 15 minute walk from Canterbury East and approximately 20 minutes from Canterbury West.
By Car
There is no public parking available at St Lawrence Ground for Canterbury Summertime Live. We strongly advise all customers travelling by car to use the Canterbury Park & Ride service located just a short distance from the venue.
The Park & Ride offers affordable all-day parking and regular bus connections into Canterbury city centre. From there, it’s roughly a 10–15 minute walk to The Spitfire Ground.
Nearest Park & Ride:
- New Dover Road Park & Ride – ideal for easy access to the venue.
- Pre-book your parking ticket here
- Buses run every few minutes throughout the day and evening.
- Please check local timetables closer to the event for extended operating hours.
We encourage all guests to plan ahead, allow extra time for travel, and consider car sharing, public transport, or taxis where possible.
By Bus & Taxi
Regular buses operate to Canterbury city centre, which is a short walk or taxi ride to the venue. A dedicated taxi drop-off and pick-up point will be signposted outside the main entrance by Sainsbury’s Local.
